Intimate Chapel Wedding on Maui | Tiare + Daniel
Tiare and Daniel's intimate chapel wedding was a dream. From their wedding details to their first touch, ceremony and reception, this day was an absolute joy to capture. It was full of intentional details and precious moments that couldn't have been more perfect.
An Intimate Chapel Wedding with Intentional Details
Tiare and Daniel chose to have their chapel wedding with lots of intentional details. Every little detail was specifically chosen to represent their love story! For example, they chose their color palette by picking colors from their very first photos together. Not only that, but they replaced table numbers with city names that meant something in their relationship. One table was named "Lahaina," where they had their first date!
Your wedding day is all about you, so never overlook all the intentional details that are special to your relationship, for your wedding day. Think about how you want your wedding to feel. Is there a way to include your love story in the flowers you choose or your reception decorations? Maybe you want to keep your vows in your vow books and read them privately to each other before your ceremony. As your wedding photographers, we're here to capture all of this for you to tell your story how you desire.
Tiare and Daniel included intentional details for their chapel wedding as they wanted their family and friends to feel like they were walking through their love story. And they did this beautifully!
Involving Family, First Looks and a First Touch
As a family-oriented couple, Tiare and Daniel involved their family members in their chapel wedding every step of the way. Tiare's sister was her maid of honor and helped her get ready. Daniel's dad was the officiant, his sister was the day-of coordinator and his other sister was the flower girl. Also, Tiare learned how to weave from her parents and they all weaved baskets for the wedding centrepieces. On top of that, Tiare had a first look with her dad. His reaction was priceless!
Not only did Tiare and Daniel include a lot of intentional details in their wedding, but they included a lot of intentional touches too. Tiare and Daniel's love languages are quality time and physical touch and it was really noticeable on their chapel wedding day.
Before the ceremony, they took some time together for a first touch. They held hands and shared letters they wrote to each other. This little moment was truly unforgettable.
If you are hesitant about having a first look together as a couple, then a first touch is the perfect alternative. Having a first touch is a way you can both soak in the day ahead, just the two of you, without seeing each other just yet. You can take this time to read your love letters to each other and get excited about finally saying "I do!"
After the reception, Tiare and Daniel had a private last dance. Including a private last dance in your wedding timeline is a beautiful way to spend alone time together as newlyweds before the day ends. Take this time to celebrate in your own way and enjoy that "just got married" feeling together!
Including cultural traditions on your wedding day
When including cultural traditions on your wedding day, we'll be there to capture all the goodness! During the reception, Tiare surprised Daniel with a traditional Samoan dance that she choreographed. Then this turned into a traditional money dance. This tradition symbolizes a wealthy marriage for the newlyweds!
If there are any cultural traditions you would like to add on your wedding day, don't hesitate to let us know! We'll work together to make sure we include this on your wedding timeline and have it all captured for you.
